The Indianapolis Colts saw their Super Bowl odds take a hit with quarterback Andrew Luck's sudden retirement Saturday night.

With Luck out of the picture, Indianapolis' odds dropped from 15-1 to 30-1:

Luck's departure means the Colts will likely turn to Jacoby Brissett under center. The 2016 third-round pick is 5-12 in 17 career starts through the first three years of his career.

Brissett went 4-11 while filling in for an injured Luck in 2017.

Of course, this is a different roster than the 2017 version. The Colts have since upgraded their offensive line in a major way, adding Quenton Nelson and Mark Glowinski. Meanwhile, the team has added playmakers Devin Funchess, Parris Campbell, Eric Ebron and Nyheim Hines to the offense.

On defense, Darius Leonard was the NFL's leading tackler from a season ago.

The NFL is a quarterback-driven league, though, so Indianapolis' fate rests in Brissett's hands. In 2017, he had little time to get acclimated to the offense after the team acquired him the week before the season opener.

This time, he has a year of experience in Frank Reich's offense. Not only that, but he also has been getting first-team reps, as a high-ankle issue sidelined Luck.

Indianapolis made the postseason in four seasons during Luck's seven-year run. When he played in all 16 games, the Colts were 4-of-4 in reaching the postseason. They went 0-of-3 when he missed at least one game during a season, as he was sidelined for 26 contests from 2015 to 2017.
