NFL Week Nine Point Spread Picks

It's halfway into the season now, and I seem to be on a little better pace after 9-4 last week against the line.

Atlanta is favored by 10 playing at home against the Redskins. This is one of the large point spreads I can deal with. Take Atlanta and give the points.

Arizona is up and down, on the road this week, playing Chicago. I will take the crazy Cardinals with three points to burn.

Baltimore is at home and probably on a mission. Cincinnati will level out a bit more this season. The Bengals are at home but lose this one. The Ravens will win by more than the three.

Indianapolis is at home favored by nine and I love Houston in this game, even as an underdog. Nine points is way to many.

Jacksonville is at home playing Kansas City and this one may be close. With six and a half points, I like the underdog K.C. in this one.

New England is favored by 10.5 and the Dolphins may be better than that. I think the Dolphins will stay in this game and keep the final deficit below 10.

Green Bay will beat Tampa Bay in Florida by 10. This is a solid play.

New Orleans should overwhelm Carolina with offense and win by 17. You do have to give 13.5 points, and Carolina getting a quick lead could keep this closer than it needs to be.

Seattle is at home against Detroit and you have to give ten points with the Seahawks.

Detroit could stay in this game and keep it close, and may have a chance to get a second win. I will choose Detroit to keep this one within ten.

The Giants must end their skid this week against a team with a big offense but no defense. Expect the Giants to run, run, and run the ball some more. That will set up Eli Manning to throw to Steve Smith for some 20-30 yarders. G-Men will get the seven point win.

The 49ers must get this win at home against the Titans who have their own issues to deal with. San Francisco can win this one at home and I will give the five points.

Philadelphia has a good home field advantage and is favored by three over Dallas. Dallas is not very good in big games on the road. They never win these games. Take the Eagles.

Pittsburgh will win on Monday Night Football against Denver in Mile High Stadium. This will be a good game to watch. Denver is the weakest 6-1 team I've ever seen and things will even out starting this week.

My record this season against the line is now a respectable 66-49. I will not have another losing week this season. I should finish this season somewhere near 40-50 games over 500.
