Lesson of the Day: Don't Place your “Bets” on the “Jets”

As most of you may know, I let my ego, pride, and faith in my New York Jets get the best of me in which I made a bet with two Dolphin Fans.  It’s a bet we do every year with the same rules (Your team must sweep) but with different wages.  Year one was an authentic Jersey of the opposite team with your name and double 00’s.  This year was a Magnet and license plate frame on your car of the opposite team with one co-worker and an Orange iPhone cover with another.

Well, I’m sad to say that with the loss of yesterday’s game, the New York Jets were swept for 2009 and my year long hell begins.  I must put the ugly dolphin on my car.

I mentioned on Twitter that I may have found a loophole.  We never really discussed the size of the magnet, so you can bet I’ll be looking for the smallest thing I can find online.  If you want to help a fellow Jets fan out, send me a link if you find a micro-mini version of that ugly dolphin logo.

My other loophole is with the plate frame.  We never really discussed HOW it was supposed to be secured to the car.  I think I’m going to get double sided velco so that I can pull it off as I please.  The rule is, while I’m in the parking lot at work, both these items must be on my car.  Again, I’ll be ripping those two things off everyday before I head home.

Sometimes it’s really difficult being a Jets fan!  *Sigh*
