The basketball world was stunned when the New Orleans Pelicans won the 2019 NBA draft lottery after entering with just a 6 percent chance to take home the No. 1 overall pick.

And when the lottery winner was revealed, all eyes were on presumptive top pick Zion Williamson.

Entering Tuesday night, the New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns, and Cleveland Cavaliers were tied for the best odds (14 percent) of winning the lottery. New Orleans was not on many people's radars as it held just the seventh-best odds.

However, barring any unforeseen developments, Williamson is likely headed to the Big Easy. With the 2019 NBA draft not being held until June 20, the former Duke star will now have some time to process Tuesday night's shocking result and prepare for life as a Pelican.
