New Orleans Saints: Best Team In The NFL?
After week 8 of the season, two teams stand out, the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts. They are both 7-0, have arguably the best quarterbacks in the game, and have beaten opponents respectivly. There is one small difference though, the Saints have never seen a superbowl. New Orleans has hosted an NFL franchise since 1967 and has only made it to an NFC championship once. Yes...once, and that was in 2006 when none other than Drew Brees was under center.
Is this the best team New Olreans has ever seen? I think so, they are the most complete team in the NFL. It all starts with coaching. The addition of Greg Williams has added a whole new dimension to this ball team. They now have a genius running the offense and a genius running the defense. With a few free agent signings in the offseason this defensive backfield went from worst to practically first. Free agent addition Darren Sharper has been playing top-notch football. He has seven interceptions in seven games, returning three of them for touchdowns. Another free agent who has made an immediate impact is Jabari Greer. Although Greer's play has been a little over shadowed by Sharper's stellar year, Greer is becoming known as one of the NFL's most dangerous corners and is definitely earning a Pro Bowl spot.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The offense is still steam rolling everyone and they show no signs of stopping. Through seven games, the Saints have scored a ridiculous 273 points, Only six points behind the 2007 Patriots for a 7-0 start. The Saints are spreading the ball around and giving opponents reasons to stay on their toes. Watching the Saints play is very exciting because you never know whats going to happen.
Can the Saints Go 16-0? Its a little early to tell but, with the remaining schedule, it would be hard to say no. The remaining schedule for the Saints has only three teams with a winning record, two of which are in the Superdome.
This can be the season New Orleans has LONG hoped for. The Saints quite possibly can be marching their way to Miami if they keep playing the type of football they are playing now. If the Saints were to go 16-0 and make it to the Super Bowl, New Orleans would shut down for a party only Mardi Gras can hope to top. The Who Dats deserve it, they have waited too long.
