There are some fairly significant changes between our yearly league rankings and our dynasty rankings, in part due to some tremendous young talent like Pablo Sandoval and Gordon Beckham. Let’s take a look how things stack up initially:
- Alex Rodriguez—New York Yankees
- Evan Longoria—Tampa Bay Rays
- David Wright—New York Mets
- Ryan Zimmerman—Washington Nationals
- Mark Reynolds—Arizona Diamondbacks
- Pablo Sandoval—San Francisco Giants
- Kevin Youkilis—Boston Red Sox
- Aramis Ramirez—Chicago Cubs
- Gordon Beckham—Chicago White Sox
- Chone Figgins—Los Angeles Angels
- Michael Young—Texas Rangers
- Ian Stewart—Colorado Rockies
- Mark DeRosa—St. Louis Cardinals
- Kevin Kouzmanoff—San Diego Padres

10 Scorching MLB Takes 🌶️

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
- The fear of Reynolds average struggling mightily, which is very realistic considering the number of times he strikes out, as well as a regression in the speed department knocks him down a few spots for dynasty league owners. His value may never be higher than it is right now, so selling him is a very realistic option. I’ll talk much more about him in the coming weeks, but it’s very possible he’s going to fall in the yearly league rankings as well.
- With his talent and age, Sandoval jumps over Youkilis for dynasty league owners. For 2010, however, I’m not sure he’s going to outperform him.
- Where do you rank Gordon Beckham in a dynasty league? For now I’m only moving him up one spot, but that is likely to change as more projections are done for the 2010 season. Let me ask you, who would you pick if you had the choice, Ramirez, Beckham, or Figgins?
- Will Stewart be able to hit for a decent average? That is going to ultimately determine his 2010 potential, but his long-term upside gets him ranked higher than a few other players here.
- DeRosa’s value could increase depending on where he ends up. We’ll monitor that as we move forward.
- I have my doubts about Cantu, but 195 RBI over the past two seasons certainly is convincing.
Where is Chipper Jones you ask? You have to wonder how many more years he has left, dropping him down the rankings for dynasty owners.
What are your thoughts on these rankings? Who should be higher? Who should be lower?
