NFL Draft 2019 Results: Full List of Selections and Grades from Round 1
The first three picks of the 2019 NFL draft went according to plan, but the Oakland Raiders and New York Giants soon sparked the inevitable drama in Nashville, Tennessee.
Oakland chose Clemson defensive lineman Clelin Ferrell, and the Giants used the No. 6 overall selection on Duke quarterback Daniel Jones. The surprise picks left Kentucky's Josh Allen and Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins on the board longer than expected.
A handful of trades added to the excitement of a first round that started with the Arizona Cardinals picking Kyler Murray.
Thursday's portion of the draft featured 32 picks, which we've recapped and featured below.
2019 NFL Draft Round 1 Picks and Grades
1. Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma (Grade: A)
2. San Francisco 49ers: Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State (A)
3. New York Jets: Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama (A)
4. Oakland Raiders: Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson (B+)
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Devin White, LB, LSU (A)
6. New York Giants: Daniel Jones, QB, Duke (D+)
General manager Dave Gettleman has tied his Giants tenure to an extraordinarily massive risk. Bill Connelly of SB Nation previously shared how quarterbacks almost never surpass their college production at the next level. That's a glaring issue because Jones' efficiency metrics are among the absolute worst in the class.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Josh Allen, LB, Kentucky (A)
8. Detroit Lions: T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa (A-)
9. Buffalo Bills: Ed Oliver, DT, Houston (A)
10. Pittsburgh Steelers (via Denver Broncos): Devin Bush, LB, Michigan (A)
Ever since the career-threatening injury to Ryan Shazier, the Steelers have desperately needed to upgrade its depth at inside linebacker. Vince Williams and Jon Bostic were decent in 2018, but Devin Bush gives Pittsburgh a smart, aggressive player in the middle. Over the last two seasons at Michigan, he racked up 181 tackles―with 18.5 for loss and 10 sacks―and 14 pass breakups.
11. Cincinnati Bengals: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama (A)
12. Green Bay Packers: Rashan Gary, DE, Michigan (B+)
13. Miami Dolphins: Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson (B)
14. Atlanta Falcons: Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College (A-)
15. Washington: Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State (A)

Good things come to those who wait, right? While plenty of buzz connected Haskins to Washington, it seemed unlikely the Ohio State product would be available here. But then the Giants selected Jones, the Broncos traded back, the Bengals nabbed an offensive lineman and the Dolphins went defense. Washington couldn't have begged for a better start to the 2019 draft.
16. Carolina Panthers: Brian Burns, DE, Florida State (A-)
17. New York Giants (via Cleveland Browns): Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson (B)
18. Minnesota Vikings: Garrett Bradbury, OC, North Carolina State (A)
19. Tennessee Titans: Jeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi State (A-)
20. Denver Broncos (via Steelers): Noah Fant, TE, Iowa (B-)
21. Green Bay Packers (via Seattle Seahawks): Darnell Savage Jr., S, Maryland (B-)
22. Philadelphia Eagles (via Baltimore Ravens): Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State (C+)
23. Houston Texans: Tytus Howard, OT, Alabama State (C)
No team surrendered more sacks in 2018 than the Texans, so addressing the offensive line was a clear-cut priority. The player was entirely unexpected, though. With touted prospects in Jawaan Taylor and Dalton Risner still on the board, Houston plucked an under-the-radar option in Tytus Howard. Perhaps he develops into a starter, but the Texans didn't do much to protect Deshaun Watson right now. In other words: That development had better pay off.
24. Oakland Raiders (via Chicago Bears): Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama (B-)
25. Baltimore Ravens (via Eagles): Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma (A-)
26. Washington (via Indianapolis Colts): Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi State (A)
27. Oakland Raiders (via Dallas Cowboys): Johnathan Abram, S, Mississippi State (B+)
28. Los Angeles Chargers: Jerry Tillery, DT, Notre Dame (B+)
29. Seattle Seahawks (via Kansas City Chiefs): L.J. Collier, DE, TCU (C)
30. New York Giants (via Seahawks from Packers and New Orleans Saints): Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia (A)
31. Atlanta Falcons (via Los Angeles Rams): Kaleb McGary, OT, Washington (B)
32. New England Patriots: N'Keal Harry, WR, Arizona State (B)
What to Watch Friday
Josh Rosen On the Move?

Arizona has a decision to make.
Now that Kyler Murray is seemingly the quarterback who head coach Kliff Kingsbury prefers to run the offense, the Cardinals must figure out Josh Rosen's future. He could stay on as a disgruntled backup, or last season's No. 10 overall pick could be traded.
Since the Giants tabbed Jones and Washington lucked into Dwayne Haskins at No. 15, the Dolphins are probably the most interested suitor. Miami owns the No. 48 and 78 picks on Friday.
Otherwise, the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers should be discussing the possibility of acquiring Rosen. Cincinnati shouldn't be tied to Andy Dalton much longer, and the Chargers know Philip Rivers is nearing the end of his career.
The Cardinals can attempt to facilitate a bidding war overnight, but their deliberation time is limited.
