The Comeback of a Legend: Indian Cricket Still Needs Sourav Ganguly

Despite being the second highest run scorer in the year 2007, and also being  one of the seven batsmen to score over 10,000 runs in ODI cricket, Sourav Ganguly has been dropped from ODI TRI series. The only reasons selectors gave is that Sourav is not fit in team and he is not good in fielding.

Well, every time selectors have new reasons to keep him out of ODI Team, "The Prince of Kolkata," fights hard and shows that he is the same Sourav Ganguly that he was 15 years back. The selectors were not able to point out any thing on his batting skills this time, but they raised the question on his fielding and age.

I don't know why the age factor has been a fashion in Indian selection committee. They drop the player who has served Indian cricket for almost 15 years and who is still capable of serving his country with his immense skills and talent. 

In fact, Sourav Ganguly is playing cricket at its best right now, but still they just drop him out, solely because of his age. What kind of nonsense is that?

The first time he was dropped for almost a year it was a valid reason—that he was struggling with his batting form—but Sourav Ganguly has made the greatest come back ever in history of Indian cricket. 

What else can the selection committee expect from this "Fighter"? How many times does he needs to prove himself?

But as far as the world knows, Sourav is a real fighter.  Everyone knows that there is no need for him to comment on selector's issues, but his bat can reply to all the questions. 

He is the man who will play for his personal pride and will shut the mouths of selectors.

Then I hope they don't make any other excuses, like if Sourav Ganguly will perform they will be out of selection committee. That's why they don't want to select him.
