Ultimate Fighter 10: Should They Allow Someone to Fight That Is Crazy?
Just to warn anyone that is about to read this article and has not watched Episode 7 then there will be spoilers in this article.
I think Matt "Meathead" Mitrione should be called Matt "Mad" Mitrione.
Anyway, it seems to be clear (if it wasn't obvious already) that Mitrione is unhinged and it seems to be getting worse as the competition. After all, this is a man that has given up all the picks on his team to the opposition, attempted to beat up his team mate and then seemed to nearly snap at his own coach.
He has continually talked about voices in his head throughout the competition and whilst normally these comments would be taken in jest, it has become clear that Mitrione seems to take these voices seriously.
For example, whilst Mitrione was talking to Rashad about his wife, Rashad asked whether he had a call from her. Mitrione then proceeded to point at his head to indicate where his wife was. To be honest Mitrione seems like the type that would try to kill his wife.
Mitrione needs to go to a doctor. He really does. Fighting and getting hit on the head is only going make him tumble down the rabbit hole to madness even faster.
Anyway, this week , Mitrione fought Junk and I never wanted someone to lose so badly. Unlike Dana White, I thought the fight sucked after the first three minutes.
There is literally nothing to say except that they stood in front of each other for 10 minutes and attempted to knock each other out.
The only problem was that after the first three minutes, they were punching each other so lamely that even flush punches were not having an effect. Furthermore, there was no groundwork. Unfortunately, Mitrione managed to win by a majority decision, though not due to any significant display of MMA skills.
Actually, possibly the only highlight of the fight was at the end when Rampage managed to kick, punch and head butt a door before ripping the door of the hinges.
