NC State Football: Helmet Schedule Shows Potential—for Disaster
Wolfpack Fans, no matter what O'Brien has up his sleeve—this year is going to be interesting.
The schedule seems to me to present a very volatile situation, where if you are legit—you could flourish. It could also be a disaster if you are anything less.
The home opener at Carter-Finley Stadium is Saturday, Sept. 6.
I guess it goes without saying that out of conference games are a must-win in football. But sandwiched between road games at two historic football powerhouses in South Carolina and Clemson make it critical.
Come back home and take a week off against long time rival ECU—not an option.
Then you get a nice home non-conference breather against a no name University of South Florida team...keep telling yourself that right up through halftime when you wish you were at home watching golf.
CarterFinley.com has a Wolfpack helmet schedule where you can quickly see how important winning on the road against local competition will be. You can't afford to drop a surprise game against anyone when your final three home games are against FSU, WFU, and Miami.
Duke always finds a way to play State tough—and this year will be the toughest in many many years. The Tarheels will probably just concede a win to the Pack too. (additional sarcasm)
There is little room for error this year and the potential for disaster. I will be there hoping that we have moved into another era.
