UFC's Most Favorite Fighter: From Machida To Shogun
Hey there fight fans.
Is been a long time coming, and the MMA world has been set ablaze.
Machida has beat Shogun.
But at what costs?
Before UFC 104, Machida had never lost a round.
But according to the "judges decicion" last saturday night, Machida won 3 of the 5 scheduled rounds.
This means that Machida actually lost a round.
Thats insane.
I've talked a lot of shit about Machida in the past, glorifying how great he is, and how phenominal he is when it comes to stuffing takedowns and kicking ass.
But after watching UFC 104 I've came to a remarkable conclusion.
Shogun is a beast.
Born November 25, 1981, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua is only 27 years old.
Quite a young age for a man to have a decorated record of 18-4.
Career accomplishments include:
PRIDE Grand Prix Tournament title-holder at 205 lbs, STORM Muay Thai championship winner, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu South American Championship master.
Shogun holds notable wins over such fighters as Chuck Lidell, Rampage Jackson, Allistair Overeem, Ricardo Arona, and Antonio Rogerio Noguerio.
With a resume like this, its hard to complain that Shogun wont beat Machdia come 2010.
