Editorial: Dismal state of Dan Snyder

Dan Snyder feels bad for Redskins fans.  He is disappointed for them.  That's the spin, right?

Ummm, has he really considered how we feel?  I can certainly attest to many of my fellow Redskins Nation, the disappointment and humiliation is aimed at you Dan Sndyer, not the Redskins.

Snyder's spin certainly does not line up with what his PR Department is spouting.   While he supposedly feels the fan's pain, he is busy raping them of high prices in tickets, food, and parking, while putting a poor product on the field.  Now, Snyder has gone so far as to censor those very fans he supposedly feels sorry for.

What Dan Sndyer doesn't realize is that Redskin fans are more disappointed and more distraught over his poor ownership of a storied franchise, than the performance of the team itself.  Why?  Because Dan Snyder wants to hold everyone else accountable for the poor performance of the Redskins, except himself and his side kick Vinny Cerrato.  It truly is amazing.

Vinny Cerrato had the gall to say that he provided Jim Zorn a playoff roster.

Really?  I mean, really?

Is the Redskins front office that far removed from reality?   If Dan Snyder was any kind of quality owner, right after Cerrato made that statement, he should have immediately been fired. Playoff teams make the playoffs.  Playoff teams take care of business when they play teams like Kansas City, Detroit, and Carolina.

The over priced veterans, the horrible trades for draft picks, the favoritism with certain players, the poor draft classes, and the rotating head coaches door are all effects of Dan Snyder's horrible ownership.  It has led the Washington Redskins team and franchise to the lowest depths of its history.

Sure there has been worse years, like the 4-12 and 3-13 years of the 1993 and 1994 seasons (wait, this may actually get worse than that).  But this is different.  Not only does the Redskins roster look in need of complete rebuild, which means more losing lies ahead, but the owner has gone right after the fan base with his childish antics.  Snyder has commenced legal action against season ticket holders who have hit hard times (not like the economy is bad eh?) and can no longer afford season tickets, despite his 'reported waiting list'.  He has banned signs.  He had fans escorted out who wore anti-Snyder t-shirts and confiscated signs.  In reality, Dan Snyder is acting like a little tyrant.   In essence, it seems to me that Dan Snyder has declared war on, ummmmmm, the Washington Redskins fans.  It is worse than the early 1990s.  Why?  Because Dan Snyder is the owner and that means for the next 40 years, the franchise will be led by this egomaniac.

So not only are Redskins fans embarrassed by the record of 2-5, the performance against some of the worst teams in the NFL, but now the owner is acting like a spoiled , little brat.  And it is front page Yahoo.  Great! Here's the pic.
