2009 NBA Season Preview in Pictures

Well folks, it's that time once again.  The sweet sounds the NBA are upon us.  Leather hitting lace, the thud of the ball on a drive to the hoop, Rasheed Wallace whining to the officials — yes, the 2009 NBA season begins tonight and I am pumped. 

So I thought I would preview some of the more "intriguing" stories of this upcoming season, in no particular order.

Let's begin.

Kevin McHale has joined the TNT analyst team.  How long before he randomly posts up and gives the "up and under" to Ernie Johnson in the middle of a segment?

Bigger threat on the Denver Nuggets: savvy point guard Ty Lawson or Kenyon Martin's neck lips?

On one hand, you have a proven winner from a renowned basketball institution.  On the other hand, you have a dude with........lips.....on....his......neck.

Throw out shooting percentage with these two.  Who ends the season with a higher cholesterol percentage?  Shaq or Glenn "Big Baby" Davis?

Did Cleveland negotiate buffet costs into Shaq's contract?

Beautiful. Now if they could only get rid of Hip Hop the "WTF?" Bunny, we’d be on our way to respectable.

Will Tyler Hansbrough’s eyeballs be able to stay in his skull the entire season?

This has to be a concern for the Pacers.

Dwayne Wade’s Novelty Band-Aids. 

Come on. Celebrity hasn’t affected him at all.

How will the Knicks respond to a tumultuous season last year?

Um, quite poorly I’m sure.

How much of a factor does Stephen Curry's and Monta Ellis’ “nighty-night time” play into the Warrior’s game plans?

Remember Coach Nelson, in pajamas and in bed by 9:00.

Winner: San Antonio

Playoff Team(s): Dallas, Houston

Pacific Division

Winner: LA Lakers

Playoff Team(s): Clippers (Yes, I know Griffin is hurt)

Northwest Division

Winner: Portland

Playoff Team(s): Utah, Denver

Western Conference Champs : San Antonio

Finals : Orlando over San Antonio (seven games)

There you have it folks. Yeah, at first sight the finals matchup looks blah but I think it will be a season to remember. Hope you enjoy it.
