Apology for Eating a Hot Dog, Really?

Mark threw no INT's, so he gets a pass on the dog from me!

Mark Sanchez sat on the bench with several minutes remaining in the game noshing on a hot dog.  I guess this is big news!  NOT.  This is a case of a high profile athlete under the spot light being scrutinized for EVERYTHING he does on and off the field.

He had to apologize for being hungry.  Really?  On the Jets Post game show, Ray Lucas even made fun of him by eating a hot dog when Brian Custer asked him a question.  I guess eating a hot dog during a game tests your “Man Hood”.

“I want to apologize for that,” Sanchez said. “I wasn’t feeling very good and didn’t eat much before the game, so I was feeling a little queasy. Toward the end of the game, I probably should have eaten one of those bars or something, but someone offered [a hot dog], so I grabbed it and tried to be discreet about it, but obviously not discreet enough. So I shouldn’t have done that, and it won’t happen again.”
