While contending major league teams are searching for all possible upgrades before the July 31 non-waiver deadline, San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner is not among those available.

According to Jon Heyman of Fancred, the Giants have told teams he is "going nowhere."

Although San Francisco entered Monday in fourth place in the National League West with a 53-54 record, the team is 6.5 games out of first place and believes it can remain in the playoff race.

Perhaps most importantly, its two top pitchers—Bumgarner and Johnny Cueto—are healthy after missing significant time this season.

Bumgarner didn't make his season debut until June after dealing with a finger injury, but he has been impressive since returning to the mound. Despite a 3-4 record, he currently has a 3.06 ERA in 10 starts.

The 28-year-old has more than proved himself in the past with four All-Star selections plus his incredible playoff resume, which includes three World Series titles and one World Series MVP. If he can replicate this past production, he could help the Giants make a quick climb up the standings.

Considering he is also on a favorable contract with just a $12 million team option for 2019, the Giants are in no hurry to trade the left-hander.

Of course, this is also what makes him so enticing for other teams on the trade market. A relatively light pitchers market has seen few top names even be mentioned in hot-stove rumors.

Unfortunately for those looking to upgrade their rotation, the Giants seemingly have no interest in a trade for Bumgarner.
