Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly has "no evidence of cancer" after undergoing MRI and CT scans, his wife Jill announced Wednesday.

"Double thumbs up!" Jill wrote in an Instagram post. "MRI and CTScans are clear. Still working through major pain management, but PRAISE THE LORD, no evidence of cancer."

Kelly was released from the hospital in June after undergoing surgery on his jaw. The operation was part of his jaw reconstruction after doctors removed cancer from his jaw in March. Kelly will return for a subsequent surgery in September to insert permanent dentures in his jaw.

Kelly received the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at the ESPYs on July 18.

ESPN's Mike Rodak reported a day earlier Kelly was going to have a "checkup" after experiencing a hiccup in his recovery from the March jaw surgery. However, Rodak reported Wednesday "it is unclear" if Kelly will travel to New York City for the appointment following Jill Kelly's announcement.
