The Rock, Conor McGregor Praise Each Other's Work Ethic on Instagram

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Conor McGregor have made their marks in multiple disciplines, and both recognized the hard work it takes to do so.

The Rock said he was viewing a documentary on McGregor and said the following of the UFC fighter: "Great insight into the DNA of this successful and smart businessman. Best part of his success, is when you strip it all away—it will always come down to being the hardest worker in the room."

McGregor responded, saying: "Thank you, Rock! Your work ethic is inspiring to me, and I appreciate these words very much!"

The Rock became a household name in WWE as a wrestler in the late '90s and 2000s, and he also played major college football at Miami and has become one of the most recognizable and profitable actors in the world. Forbes reported he was the second-highest paid actor in 2017, earning $65 million. He trailed only Mark Wahlberg, at $68 million.

While McGregor is known as a UFC fighter, he trained for a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in August 2017 and held his own in his first such bout against one of the best in the sport's history. The Rock also pointed to McGregor's ventures as a businessman.
