2018 NBA Draft Odds: Props for Top 3 Picks, Trae Young After Lottery Results

Following the NBA draft lottery, odds for when the likes of Deandre Ayton, Luka Doncic, Marvin Bagley III, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Trae Young will be selected were released.

According to BetOnline (h/t OddsShark), Ayton is a 1-2 (-200) favorite to go No. 1 overall to the Phoenix Suns. Ayton is followed by Doncic at 3-2 (+150), the field at 15-2 (+750) and Jackson at 12-1 (+1,200).

Also, there is a prop for whether Young will be selected inside or outside the top seven. The Oklahoma guard is equally likely to be over 7.5 (-120) or under 7.5 (-120).

Doncic is a 1-2 (-200) favorite to go second to the Sacramento Kings. He is followed by Ayton at 3-2 (+150), the field at 7-1 (+700) and Jackson at 12-1 (+1,200).

As for the Atlanta Hawks at No. 3, Bagley is a 1-1 (+100) favorite, followed by Jackson at 5-4 (+125), the field at 5-1 (+500) and Doncic at 6-1 (+600).

It is difficult to argue with Ayton's status as the presumptive No. 1 pick. At 7'1", he dominated during his freshman season to the tune of 20.1 points on 61.2 percent shooting, 11.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

Perhaps the only person capable of knocking Ayton from his perch is the Slovenian swingman.

Doncic is already playing and excelling against a high level of competition professionally at Real Madrid, and this season he is averaging 14.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists per contest.

According to Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com, the Kings are planning to take whoever is left between Ayton and Doncic at No. 2 assuming the Suns take one of them first.

Since it's difficult to see Ayton and Doncic not coming off the board in some order over the first two picks, predicting who goes No. 3 is the toughest call early.

Bagley has the edge in terms of production, as he put up 21.0 points and 11.1 rebounds per game at Duke last season.

Jackson averaged 10.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per contest at Michigan State, and while he is already a force defensively, it isn't known how big of an impact player he'll be on offense.

Young, meanwhile, is the ultimate wild card after dominating college basketball early in the season. He was a one-man show at times with the Sooners, averaging 27.4 points, 8.7 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game.

It is fair to question if his small, slight frame (6'2", 180 lbs) will allow him to be as effective in the NBA, but with the Orlando Magic picking sixth and in desperate need of a playmaker in the backcourt, he would make sense.
