Manchester City celebrated their record-breaking 2017-18 season as they paraded the Premier League title and Carabao Cup around the streets of Manchester on Monday.

The Sky Blues reached an unprecedented 100 points with their last-gasp win against Southampton on Sunday to finish the season 19 points clear of second-place Manchester United.

They also broke the record for most goals scored in a Premier League campaign and set numerous other new benchmarks:

Manager Pep Guardiola got in on the fun, tossing a beer to one of the fans along the route, via Footy Accumulators:

Each player was then introduced on stage.

Inevitably, Benjamin Mendy provided the most entertainment as he led the masses in a farewell chant to the outgoing Yaya Toure.

Captain Vincent Kompany then raised the Premier League title to the Manchester skies to round off a remarkable season:

Greater Manchester Police decided to mark the occasion with some wonderfully tortured puns:

Meanwhile, United fans were predictably scornful of the proceedings:

For many of City's players, focus will now turn to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, which begins next month.

Monday's proceedings were fitting for what was a truly impressive campaign, and City's celebrations are likely to continue late into the night.

But, given Guardiola's famously insatiable appetite for winning, it will likely not be long before he is planning the Sky Blues' title defence in 2018-19.
