Curtis Martin Gives Sam Darnold Advice on New York Media in TMZ Exclusive

Timothy RappMay 13, 2018

Curtis Martin spent eight seasons playing for the New York Jets, and the Hall of Fame running back had some advice for incoming rookie quarterback Sam Darnold.

"Don't believe too much, good or bad, what you read in the papers," Martin told Darnold through TMZ Sports. "When I played here, I didn't read it. Whether it was good or bad, I didn't read it."

Darnold, 20, is going to have a lot written about him in the coming years after being drafted No. 3 overall with a view to becoming the team's franchise quarterback.
