George Hill Misses Cavaliers Practice to Receive Diploma from IUPUI

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard George Hill had a good reason for missing Saturday's practice.ย 

According to the Associated Press' Tom Withers, Hill was back at IUPUIโ€”where he played from 2004 to 2008โ€”to formally receive his degree from the university's school of liberal arts and speak to the graduating class of 2018:ย 

Hill commemorated the occasion by tweeting a photo of his IUPUI ink:ย 

Hill and the Cavaliers will be in Boston on Sunday for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Celtics at TD Garden. The action is scheduled to get underway at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.ย  ย  ย
