Kenny Smith Says Knicks Should Have Hired Him Instead of David Fizdale as HC

The New York Knicks opted to go with former Memphis Grizzlies coach David Fizdale for their coaching vacancy, and although the move has been lauded by many, some may have preferred other options.

Take Kenny "The Jet" Smith, for instance.

Smith himself was a candidate for the job, but he wound up getting beaten out by Fizdale. The Inside the NBA analyst told TMZ Sports that Fizdale was the "right choice" but not necessarily the "best choice":

The 53-year-old Smith also described his dream coaching job, which would ironically not require much coaching on his part.
