While Trae Young prepares for the NBA draft, he is also spending his time with a special fan:
The Oklahoma guard said he gave Caleb Freeman shoes from his 22-assist game, which occurred on Dec. 19 in a win over Northwestern State. Young also scored 26 points in the game.
Freeman and his brother, Clayton, were injured in a car accident on the way to that game driving on I-35. While his brother was released from the hospital shortly after, Caleb suffered major brain trauma and didn't speak his first words until the end of February.
Young is considered the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2018 NBA draft by Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman.
