Why the Jets Can Pay on the NHL Lines

The Jets have somehow found a way to beat the Predators on their home ice in two of the first three games played there, with the lone loss decided in double overtime. Offensively, they have been outstanding at Nashville, averaging 4.7 goals while holding the home team to an average of 2.7 per game.

In Game 5 at Bridgestone Arena, Winnipeg chased opposing goaltender Pekka Rinne after he surrendered six goals on 26 shots. The Jets just need their goalie, Connor Hellebuyck, to play like he did on the road in Games 1 and 5, and they will have a great opportunity to pull off the upset.

Why the Predators Can Pay on the NHL Lines

As shaky as Rinne has looked at times throughout this postseason, he has also come up with clutch performances when his team has needed them most. In Game 6, he turned away all 34 shots he faced for his second shutout of the playoffs, with Filip Forsberg and Viktor Arvidsson providing the scoring with two goals apiece.

Surprisingly, the Predators have alternated wins and losses in the past 11 games they have played, dating back to the start of the first round. But they worked hard to earn the Presidents' Trophy and home-ice advantage for moments like this.

Smart Betting Pick

These teams have been involved in some of the most exciting matchups of the year, and this series has not disappointed. If anything, bettors have come to expect the unexpected, especially with Winnipeg dropping two straight at home for the first time since February.

The good news for the Jets is they bounced back from suffering consecutive home losses with wins the past two times that happened. Take Winnipeg to end Nashville's run here.

NHL Betting Trends

Winnipeg is 18-5 SU in its past 23 games.

The total has gone over in five of Winnipeg's past seven games on the road.

Nashville is 12-6 SU in its past 18 games at home.
