MI (210/6) beat KKR (108/10) by 102 runs
Kolkata won the toss and chose to bowl, with Evin Lewis and Suryakumar Yadav opening for Mumbai. It was a good start for the Indians, who raced to 46 before Lewis departed for 18.
Yadav was dismissed for 36 in the ninth over, but Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan put together a fine partnership to help Mumbai to victory.
Broken Cricket showed Kishan's innings:
The 19-year-old was the real star of the show as he put together 62 off 21 balls, while Sharma managed 36.
A big finish saw Mumbai score 22 off the last over as they ended on 210 for six to hand Kolkata a big run chase.
Kolkata did not get off to the best start as Sunil Narine was out on the second ball and a horrible mix-up then saw Chris Lynn run out.
The wickets continued to tumble as Robin Uthappa and Andre Russell departed fairly swiftly, and Dinesh Karthik, Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh followed as Kolkata imploded at home.
Cricbuzz showed how it's a familiar result when these two teams meet:
Cricketer Mohammad Kaif praised Mumbai for recovering from a poor start to the tournament:
The defending champions are certainly in great form and their surge up the table is ominous for the other teams. Next up they face Rajasthan Royals on Sunday, while Kolkata face Kings XI Punjab on Saturday.
