Adam L. Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times reported Smith told the Athens-Clarke County Police Department on Saturday that an iPad with Bears information, three jerseys from his time at the University of Georgia and a variety of other personal items were taken.
The Georgia native didn't say which items were recovered. Some were found at the suspect's residence and others were recovered at a separate location, per Jahns.
Chicago selected Smith with the eighth overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft. In 2017, he was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year and a Consensus All-American while also winning the Butkus Award as the top linebacker in college football.
He should slot right into the Bears' starting lineup at inside linebacker alongside Danny Trevathan in the team's 3-4 defensive scheme.
