Josh McDaniels Has The Wild Horses Galloping
Ah yes, the team that I have loved for twenty-one years(since I can remember) has gotten off to the best start since the great John Elway was under center. Who would have known it was going to come under the direction and management of a thirty-three year old with a baby face that resembles that of a high schooler? Josh McDaniels intensity after the Broncos beat the Patriots in a part of the game that Tom Brady has never lost in. Tom Brady was 7-0 in overtime until the Broncos offense never gave him a chance by not allowing the Pro Bowler to even hit the field. Josh McDaniels did have an advantage agianst his old team in that he knew the playbook inside and out but it doesn't take away the fact that they beat Bill Belichik. McDaniels has obviously changed something in Denver, I would wager my house that if Mike Shanahan was still the head coach the Broncos would have lost to at least the Chargers if not even the Raiders judging by last years ridiculous loss to the Raiders. I thought it was time for Shanahan to go after he benched Jake Plummer just to get his new cry baby quaterback a chance to show his interception skills. Josh McDaniels didn't want another giant ego to clash with his because that could mean a premature end to his coaching career. So he said goodbye to the quaterback who was upset about how the owner went and fired his favoritist coach. McDaniels seems to have brought some accountability something Shanahan strayed away from, in the Chargers game Brandon Marshall kicked a ball out of stupidity.. er I'm sorry frustration and Marshall then was aquainted with the bench much more than in previous games. Shanahan would never have done that because of a fear of losing but his fear of losing turned into losing and becoming complacent with it. Pat Bowlen thought it was time to send the coach for life his checks through the mail and not in person. The Broncos franchise has won the second most games in the NFL since Pat Bowlen bought the team in 1984 and I think he has a good handle on his team. He has definitely confused some but he was the one to okay the trade of Jay Cutler and the one who hired Mike Shanahan and Josh McDaniels and only time will tell how his most recent hire will pan out but so far I would like to say "Thank you Pat Bowlen, as long as you don't try to move the team." Heres to the Broncos continuing to win this season. Cheers(sip on beverage of choice now)
