Rajasthan Royals (158/8) beat Kings XI Punjab (142/7) by 15 runs

Rajasthan went into the game on the back of three straight defeats but won the toss and opted to bat.

Jos Buttler was the star for the hosts as he managed his third straight half-century on his way to 82. Broken Cricket showed how successful he's been as an opener:

It was a different story for Ben Stokes as his poor IPL form continued. He managed just 14 before being caught by Ashwin Ravichandran.

Jofra Archer and Jaydev Unadkat also went in the final over as Rajasthan could not make the most of their strong start and finished on 158.

Yet it was to prove just about enough despite the heroics of KL Rahul who hit an unbeaten 95 off 70 balls for Kings XI Punjab.

ESPNcricinfo showed how he compared to his team-mates:

It was an incredible effort by Rahul who came agonisingly close to what would have been an impressive century.

Yet he could not do it all by himself, and it's a much-needed win for Rajasthan. They remain just about in contention but face another tough test next time out against Chennai Super Kings.
