Cowboys News: RB Bo Scarbrough Wants Ezekiel Elliott to Mentor Him on the Field

Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Bo Scarbrough said Monday that he's hopeful Ezekiel Elliott will take him under his wing this season.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Scarbrough talked about wanting Elliott to show him the ropes in Dallas.

When asked to send a message to Elliott, Scarbrough said the following: "Man, I just hope Zeke ... help your boy out. We coming in, work together. We trying to win, we trying to be the best duo that ever came through in NFL history."

The Cowboys took Scarbrough with the No. 236 overall pick in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL draft out of Alabama.

In three seasons at Alabama, Scarbrough rushed for 20 touchdowns and 1,512 yards on 267 carries, which was good for a yards-per-carry average of 5.7.

Elliott has been highly productive in two NFL seasons, finishing second in Rookie of the Year voting by rushing for an NFL-leading 1,631 yards in 2016 along with 15 touchdowns.

While Elliott was limited to 10 games last season due to a suspension stemming from a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy, he still finished with 983 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground along with 26 receptions for 269 yards and two more scores.

Elliott is the unquestioned starter in Dallas, but Scarbrough will have a chance to lend a helping hand behind arguably the best offensive line in football.
