JR Smith: Light to Shoot 'Not as Green as That Green I'm About to Hit Tomorrow'

There is nothing like when JR Smith gets the go-ahead to let it fly.

In Monday night's series-clinching 128-93 victory over the Toronto Raptors, the Cleveland Cavaliers guard went a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor, including 3-of-3 from downtown, on his way to 15 points. His hot hand cleared the way for him to take any shot he wanted.

After the game, SportsCenter host Scott Van Pelt received a classic Smith quote about having the green light (h/t Cycle's Rob Perez): "Very green ... but not as green as that green I'm about to hit tomorrow."

Mic. Drop.

Smith was of course talking about hitting the golf course. Earlier Monday, he had congratulated Jason Day on his win at the Wells Fargo Championship via Instagram.

After sweeping Toronto, Cleveland will have a few days off from game action as it awaits to see who it will play in the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers (Boston leads the series 3-1). In other words, Smith will have time to hit the greens.
