Willson Contreras Gets Married After Cubs Rain Delays Caused 2 Postponements
Mother Nature and MLB scheduling conspired to delay the wedding date of Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras.
Contreras posted Thursday on Instagram he got married to Andrea Villamizar. He explained Sunday he would've gotten married a little earlier were it not for inclement weather.
"I think everyone was surprised because I didn't tell anyone," Contreras said, per ESPN.com's Jesse Rogers. "It got canceled twice because of the rain delays and stuff. I didn't want to talk about it until it happened."

The ceremony was enough of a secret Cubs manager Joe Maddon had no idea it happened until somebody told him in the clubhouse Friday.
Rogers noted the Cubs had five games postponed in April. As a result, the team had to play on two days that were originally slated to be off days.
