Jaylen Brown Went Against Doctors to Play Game 2 with Hamstring Injury
Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown went against doctors' orders by suiting up for his team's 108-103 Game 2 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night at the TD Garden.
According to MassLive.com's Tom Westerholm, Brown told the team's training staff he was fine and suited up despite missing Game 1 with a right hamstring injury.
NBC 10 Boston's Raul Martinez relayed video of his complete comments:
Brown was initially listed as doubtful Thursday morning, but that designation changed to probable a few hours before tipoff.
He proceeded to score 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting in 25 minutes off the bench to help the Celtics take a 2-0 series lead.
The scene will shift to Philadelphia for Games 3 and 4, with the next tilt set to tip off at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday.
