Monaco date moved, Brazil back to final spot

It still remains provisional, but the 2010 Formula 1 calendar has been tweaked yet again and now awaits final approval.

The big news, as mentioned here before, is that Monaco is set to move one week earlier than originally planned and the big event will take place on May 16.

Just slightly smaller news is the swap of Brazil and Abu Dhabi so Interlagos again is the final race on the calendar. [Do you suppose the exciting, best-race-of-the-year showing from last weekend had anything to do with that?]

The World Motor Sport Council met in Paris on 21 October 2009. The following decisions were taken:

FORMULA ONE

The Monaco Grand Prix has been moved forward one week to 16 May. The FIA has approved in principle a proposal to swap the dates of the Abu Dhabi and Brazilian grands prix, pending agreement with the promoters of both events.

The FIA is expecting confirmation from Formula One Management about the
grands prix in Canada and Britain shortly.

The latest calendar is below. The final calendar will be adopted at the December meeting of the WMSC.
