The team announced Rosen's deal, making him the first top-10 pick in the 2018 NFL draft to sign:

Per Spotrac, Rosen will make up to $17.6 million with a signing bonus of $10.9 million under the NFL's rookie wage scale.

Needing to find a long-term answer at quarterback, despite signing Sam Bradford as a free agent, the Cardinals moved up five spots in a draft-day trade with the Oakland Raiders to select Rosen with the 10th overall pick.

In a deep quarterback class that featured five first-round signal-callers, Rosen has the potential to be the best of the bunch.

B/R's Matt Miller had Rosen ranked as the No. 3 quarterback in the 2018 group, behind USC's Sam Darnold and Wyoming's Josh Allen.

"Rosen is a polished quarterback who is ready to take over an NFL offense," Miller wrote. "He is a clean prospect in terms of mechanics but has the biggest question marks when it comes to injury history and coachability."

Injuries were a problem for Rosen at UCLA. He missed six games during the 2016 season with an ailing shoulder. Concussions kept him out of two games for the Bruins as a junior in 2017, including a 35-17 loss against Kansas State in the Cactus Bowl.

The Cardinals don't believe Rosen will have lingering issues from those injuries, though.

Since winning the NFC West with a 13-3 record in 2015, the Cardinals have missed the playoffs in each of the past two seasons.

Rosen will be the quarterback tasked with bringing Arizona back to prominence in the NFC West.
