Charles Barkley on Draymond Green: 'I Want Someone to Punch Him in the Face'
Emotions were running high during Tuesday's Game 2 in the second-round playoff series between the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans at Oracle Arena, and Draymond Green and Rajon Rondo got in each other's faces heading to the locker room at halftime.
The exchange prompted TNT broadcaster Charles Barkley to say of Green, "I want someone to punch him in the face. I do. I want someone to punch him in the face," via Arash Markazi of ESPN.
Green responded after Golden State's 121-116 win, saying, "He's seen me a million times. Punch me in the face. If you're not going to punch me in the face when you see me, then stop talking about it," per Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post.
Green is known for his demonstrativeness on the floor, and he also let out a scream in the face of Pelicans swingman Nikola Mirotic following an and-1 in the first half.
The Michigan State product was second in the league during the regular season with 15 technical fouls and plays with plenty of emotion, which was evident again during the exchange with Rondo.
