Trainer Bob Baffert will be more than satisfied with the draw, as Stall 7 has historically been a solid one to break from. Per Christina Moore of America's Best Racing, it has produced six winners in 86 starts, with the last coming in 2007.
Justify and Magnum Moon will both try to break the Curse of the Apollo by becoming the first horse to win the Derby without running as two-year-olds since 1882.
Magnum Moon drew Stall 16, while Mendelssohn will break from the stall that was home to last year's favourite. Classic Empire finished in fourth place.
Bolt d'Oro drew Stall 11, which has only produced two winners and no victories since 1988. The San Felipe Stakes winner is seen as an outside contender after finishing second to Justify in the Santa Anita Derby.
