Cristiano Ronaldo has been labelled "amazing" by Brazil legend Ronaldo ahead of Real Madrid's UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

El Fenomeno, who became one of Los Blancos' first Galacticos of the 21st century when he joined the club in 2002, has praised his Portuguese namesake for adapting his game as he has got older and credited him for stepping up when things get difficult, per AS (via Goal's Harry Sherlock): "It's amazing what he's doing, he plays fewer balls but he decides the game better than before. He has a lot of resources, when the game gets ugly he appears."

Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, 33, stuttered early in the 2017-18 season. It looked as though age may have finally caught up with him as he netted just four times in La Liga before the turn of the year.

However, since the start of 2018, he has returned to his best, netting 21 goals in the Spanish top flight and six in the Champions League.

His failure to score in Real's 2-1 first-leg victory at Bayern brought an end to a remarkable run for the Portugal international in Europe's premier club competition, per Squawka:

He looks well set to finish as the competition's top scorer for the sixth season in a row.

Undoubtedly his best goal in the Champions League this term was the overhead kick he netted against Juventus in the quarter-final first leg, per BT Sport:

The 41-year-old Ronaldo said he has never even attempted such an audacious finish, per AS (via Sherlock): "This last bicycle kick was something incredible ... I have not tried it."

Zinedine Zidane's Real side go into Tuesday's fixture against Bayern at the Santiago Bernabeu with the advantage of a one-goal lead and two away goals.

The Madrid giants are aiming to win the Champions League for a third consecutive season, while Cristiano Ronaldo is looking win the famous trophy for the fifth time in his career.

The former Manchester United man will be eager to get back on the scoresheet against Bayern on Tuesday to help secure his side a spot in May 26's Kiev final.
