Sam Darnold Says He 'Loves' NY Weather After Jets Pick Him in 2018 NFL Draft

Timothy RappApr 27, 2018

Sam Darnold grew up in California and played his college football at USC, so he's accustomed to the warm weather.

But in an interview with Mike Garafolo of NFL Network on Friday, he said he's looking forward to the weather in New York after the Jets selected him at No. 3 overall in the 2018 NFL draft Thursday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

"I love it," he said. "It's refreshing. Especially when you're in a suit. Sometimes you can get hot, stepping out there, and it's a little chilly. I love it."
