Liverpool Transfer News: Federico Chiesa Price Reportedly Set Amid Exit Rumours
Fiorentina have reportedly set a price tag of £44 million for starlet Federico Chiesa, who is said to be a target for Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Napoli.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via the Mirror's Football Spy), La Viola are determined to hold onto the talented 20-year-old, explaining the high asking price.
This isn't the first time the Reds have been linked with the forward, as Calciomercato (h/t Edo Dalmonte of the same outlet) named Chiesa as a target for the club earlier this season.

He's the son of former Fiorentina striker Enrico Chiesa, who had a long career in multiple levels of Italian football. Federico is rated much more highly than his father ever was, however, and is expected to become a more regular part of Italy's national team.
Chiesa flashed a ton of talent in his debut last season, but he's really established himself as one of Serie A's top prospects this year. He's been a regular for Fiorentina, scoring six goals while playing all over the attacking third.
Fiorentina have moved the youngster away from the wing at times this season, although most of his minutes have still come on the right.
Here's a look at some of his highlights:
Fiorentina have built quite the reputation for nurturing attacking talent in recent years, finding plenty of success with stars from their own academy like Federico Bernardeschi. Their biggest success story may be Mohamed Salah, however, as the Egyptian rediscovered his form on loan in Tuscany before joining AS Roma.
Like Salah, Chiesa has tons of athleticism and quick feet to get out of trouble in the blink of an eye. He's also a composed finisher, and his eye for goal is one of the reasons Fiorentina don't use him strictly as a winger.

Chiesa is still very raw, which is to be expected at his age. With the right guidance, he could have a massive future, which is why the next few months will be so important.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has a sterling reputation for developing talent, and if Chiesa decides to leave Fiorentina, Anfield should be near the top of his preferred destinations. Italian youngsters mostly tend to stay in Serie A, however, and he could be too young to try his hand at a foreign adventure.
The reported asking price of £44 million would be steep for a raw talent who won't make an immediate impact, but fees have gone up dramatically of late, so this shouldn't come as a surprise.
