Indianapolis Mayor Bans Goaltending After LeBron James' Controversial Block
Tim DanielsApr 27, 2018
Indianapolis mayor Joe Hogsett "banned" goaltending in the city after Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James wasn't called for the infraction late in the Cavs' 98-95 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the teams' first-round playoff series Wednesday night.
On Thursday, Hogsett posted an executive order on Twitter:
The NBA released a Last Two Minute Report that confirmed James should have been called for a goaltend after blocking Victor Oladipo's shot after it hit the backboard.
James gave the Cavaliers a 3-2 series lead with a game-winning three at the other end as time expired.
Game 6 is scheduled for Friday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indy.
