Rob GoldbergApr 26, 2018

The NFL draft is a life-changing moment for a lot of people, but sometimes the players sitting in the green room have to wait a while to see their dreams come true.

Lamar Jackson is the unlucky one Thursday, and the disappointment was seemingly getting to him:

However, Jackson clarified what was really going on:

The former Heisman Trophy winner is considered the No. 5 quarterback in the class by Bleacher Report's Matt Miller, while four quarterbacks were taken in the top 10 picks. This left several opportunities with quarterback -needy teams potentially going after the dynamic player out of Louisville.

Jordan Raanan of ESPN expected Jackson to be taken with one of the top 20 picks.

Unfortunately, he stayed on the board as the first round progressed while other players heard their names called.
