Quarterbacks dominated the top 10 picks during the first round of the 2018 NFL draft Thursday night.
Baker Mayfield came off the board at No. 1 overall to the Cleveland Browns, Sam Darnold went to the New York Jets at No. 3, Josh Allen was selected by the Buffalo Bills following a trade up to No. 7 and Josh Rosen landed with the Arizona Cardinals following a trade up to No. 10.
As it turns out, that run on signal-callers made history.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Thursday marked the first time in the common draft era, which dates back to 1967, that four quarterbacks were selected among the top 10 picks.
That group of heralded gunslingers will now be linked forever as they attempt to lead their respective franchises to prosperity.
