The Denver Broncos selected North Carolina State defensive lineman Bradley Chubb with the No. 5 overall pick in Thursday's NFL draft, but it wasn't Commissioner Roger Goodell who announced the pick.

Rather, 17-year-old Austin Denton—who is a Broncos fan from New Mexico—called Chubb's name.

Eric Ruble of Fox 31 Denver noted Denton is "an aspiring sports journalist and St. Jude patient" who since 2007 has been in remission from oligoastrocytoma, a rare form of cancer.

Andrew Siciliano of NFL GameDay interviewed Denton about the opportunity:

While Denton stole the show, the Broncos will now turn their attention toward adding Chubb to a pass rush that already features the dominant Von Miller.
