FIFA 18 Ultimate Team: Alexandre Lacazette, Marco Reus Headline TOTW 32
Alexandre Lacazette will receive an 86-rated in-form card in Team of the Week 32, while Marco Reus has been handed an 87 card in this week's round of FIFA 18 Ultimate Team upgrades.
Lacazette and Reus each grabbed braces for their sides, while Kalidou Koulibaly's last-gasp winner against Juventus to shake up Serie A's title race has seen him included.
Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic also features after contributing a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Sampdoria, while Paris Saint-Germain's Alphonse Areola and Marseille's Florian Thauvin represent Ligue 1.
EA announced the team on Wednesday:
Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal
Through no fault of his own, it was initially a difficult afternoon for Lacazette in Arsenal's 4-1 win over West Ham United, and Football.London's Charles Watts expected him to be sacrificed as a result:
The striker had only completed 90 minutes in eight of his previous 23 Premier League starts, but on this occasion, manager Arsene Wenger decided to leave him on and was duly rewarded with two goals.
The first deflected past Joe Hart at his near post, and the second saw him latch on to Aaron Ramsey's pass before stroking home.
ESPN FC's Mattias Karen suggested he should finish games more often:
Lacazette's passing remains something of a sore spot on his card with a 73 rating, but with the Frenchman's 87 pace and 85 shooting, he can still be plenty of use.
Marco Reus, Borussia Dortmund
Like Lacazette, Borussia Dortmund's 4-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen looked like it would not be Reus' day.
The playmaker had a sensational volley disallowed, missed a penalty and rattled the crossbar, but he eventually turned things around with a fine one-on-one finish and a back-post header, per the Bundesliga's official Twitter account:
With his 87-rated card, Reus' position has changed from the left, and he is now a central attacking midfielder.
Anyone looking for a new No. 10 for their side could do a lot worse than the German, who boasts 89 pace, 88 shooting and 86 passing.
Kalidou Koulibaly, Napoli
Napoli needed to beat Juventus in Turin on Sunday to keep their title hopes alive, as they were four points behind the Bianconeri heading into the clash.
The match looked to be heading toward a goalless draw—a result that would have suited the Old Lady just fine—when Koulibaly rose to the occasion, per BT Sport Football:
Football writer David Amoyal hailed the defender:
Koulibaly's latest IF sees his defending rise to a superlative 90, while his physical stat is close behind on 89.
With a 77 pace rating to boot, Koulibaly is reasonably quick for a centre-back, making him a force to be reckoned with in defence.
