The bowlers stole the show during Tuesday's Indian Premier League fixture between Sunrisers Hyderabad (118) and Mumbai Indians (87), as Siddarth Kaul took three big wickets in the unlikely win and put himself among the top wicket-takers in the tournament.

The 27-year-old has now taken nine wickets in total, just one less than Indians' Mayank Markande, who took two wickets on Tuesday. Hyderabad's best wicket-taker of the last few years, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, did not play due to a back injury.

Here's a look at the top statistical batsmen and bowlers, via the IPL's official website.

Recap

Fans of explosive batting and high-scoring chases were in for a rough outing on Tuesday, as Sunrisers and Indians combined for under 210 runs in the 31-run triumph for the former.

Both teams finished all out, and no man scored more runs that Suryakumar Yadav, who finished with just 34 from 38.

Hyderabad, the visitors, appeared ripe for the picking after their disappointing innings, with a total of just 118 and no batsman standing out. Kane Williamson, the IPL's top scorer, finished with disappointing figures of 29 from 21.

As shared by Broken Cricket, Hyderabad's innings was among their worst in IPL history:

But the Mumbai chase got off to a poor start, with Yadav soon falling behind the strike rate and his fellow batsmen dropping like flies. Only two Indians would score double-digit runs, and only three finished with a strike rate of 100 or better.

Kaul struck for three wickets, while team-mate Rashid Khan took two and gave up just 11 runs in four overs, including a maiden over.

Indian actor Gauruv Kapur loved it:

It's a testament to Sunrisers' talent that they took this win without the services of Kumar and with Williamson contributing just 21 runs. The win took Hyderabad up to third place, tied on eight points with Chennai Super Kings and two points behind Kings XI Punjab.
