Texas Longhorns vs. Missouri Tigers: Football Picks
This Saturday night, two of the best teams in the Big 12 will face off, with Missouri and Texas doing battle. The Longhorns are coming in riding high after a win in the huge Red River Rivalry game with Oklahoma.
Last week, they won 16-13 and knocked out Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford. The Sooners never recovered from the loss and failed to put up many points against them. The Longhorns are now 6-0 and on top of the race for the Big 12 South Division.
If they can stay on top of the Big 12, they will have a great shot at playing for the National Championship. Either Florida or Alabama will have to lose at some point because they’ll play for the SEC Championship.
If your looking for Free College Football Picks Texas at No. 3 would then be at prime position to jump up into the game.
The Missouri Tigers have other things to say about that as they would love nothing more than to spoil Texas’ shot at the title game. The Tigers have led in their last two games in the first half, only to blow the game in the second.
They were winning 12-0 against Nebraska before giving up 27 unanswered points to lose the game. It was the same story last weekend against Oklahoma State, as the Cowboys scored 19 unanswered points.
Most of the Tigers troubles can be traced back to a sprained ankle for quarterback Blaine Gabbert. He suffered the injury in the first half of the Nebraska game and has not looked like the same quarterback since that point. Much of their competitiveness will depend on whether or not his ankle is healed by this weekend.
The Longhorns bring the top ranked scoring offense in the country as well as the best run defense in the land. If Mizzou hopes to compete in this game, they will have to rely on a heavy dose of passing and hope that Gabbert has his health back.
