Why the Spurs can cover the spread

San Antonio is not going to win this series, but it will continue playing with a lot of heart following the death of head coach Gregg Popovich's wife, Erin.

The Spurs improved to 1-1 without Popovich, who has taken a leave of absence with assistant Ettore Messina replacing him for the time being.
