Report: Chris Paul's Houston Mansion on Sale for $6.975M Amid Rockets Title Push
As the Houston Rockets look to make a run at the title, Chris Paul is looking to take care of business—both on and off the court.
TMZ Sports reported Monday that the nine-time All-Star has put his Houston mansion on the market for $6.975 million:
The 18,717-square-foot home features nine bedrooms, 14 bathrooms and a six-car garage. Also, it just happens to be on a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.
Paul bought the house last October after joining the Rockets from the Los Angeles Clippers in an offseason trade. It's not clear how he made out in the deal. TMZ reported at the time of the initial purchase that the property was originally listed at $8 million, but that the point guard wound up getting a "good deal."
It's not clear why the star put his house on the market or why he chose to do so now as the playoffs are heating up.
Per Spotrac, Paul has made more than $180 million in his basketball career, not including endorsement deals. He is eligible to sign a five-year deal worth in excess of $200 million with the Rockets this summer.
