Man City Reportedly Eye Eden Hazard, Kylian Mbappe or Riyad Mahrez This Summer
Manchester City reportedly want to sign a forward this summer, and the likes of Eden Hazard, Kylian Mbappe and Riyad Mahrez are among the targets they are considering.
According to Goal's Sam Lee, the Sky Blues only want to sign two players this summer; a midfielder—likely to be Napoli's Jorginho—and a forward. For the latter position, City have narrowed their list down to two names.
Though the pair are unconfirmed, January target Mahrez remains of interest to City and the club have also expressed interest in Hazard in recent months.

Meanwhile, Mbappe is not one of the two options on their wishlist, but the Sky Blues are monitoring his situation should he become available if Paris Saint-Germain need to part with him in order to comply with UEFA's financial fair play regulations.
City have scored 98 goals in the Premier League this season, but manager Pep Guardiola appears keen to add yet more quality and depth to his attacking options.
Chelsea star Hazard would fit the bill. He showcased his talents as the Blues beat Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday, per Squawka Football:
The Belgium international has notched 16 goals and 12 assists in all competitions this term, though he has not been too happy with his form of late, per Het Laatste Nieuws' Kristof Terreur:
It's not the first time Hazard has endured a disappointing spell at Stamford Bridge—his form notably dropped off for an entire season after being named the PFA Player of the Year in 2015.
Given the talent already at the Etihad Stadium, underperforming over a sustained period like that would see him dropped from the starting lineup, so it's something he would need to improve on were he to move.
The same goes for Mahrez, who, like Hazard, produced a disappointing campaign in the season after being honoured by the PFA, although his dip in form was perhaps not quite as significant.
As for Mbappe, it's easy to see why City would be prepared to scrap their other plans should an opportunity to sign him arise:
Along with his impressive goal record, the 19-year-old also possesses an abundance of skill, per Goal UK:
He or Hazard could cost City in the region of £150 million, though, and Chelsea would be loath to let the latter join a domestic rival.
Mahrez would likely be attainable for less than half that, although he's not quite at Hazard or Mbappe's level despite his undeniable talent, and he would likely need to do more adapting to meet Guardiola's demands than the others.
Whoever City end up signing, the prospect of their team becoming even more potent up front is a frightening thought—it will be even more difficult for the rest of the Premier League to close the gap.
