MMA Fighter Alexis Vila Arrested on 2nd-Degree Murder Charge

MMA fighter Alexis Vila was arrested on April 17 and charged with second-degree murder involving a conspiracy and weapon, according to Marc Raimondi of MMAFighting.com.

According to that report, "Vila, 47, is currently being held without bond at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami. He has a pending hold for immigration. Vila is a Cuba native, who defected to the United States in 1997."

Vila was arrested in 2004 after crashing his Lincoln Navigator into a Fort Lauderdale airport terminal. He served three years in prison for the infraction.
